We need your help, please!

If you haven't e-mailed Trish with your contact information (name, address, e-mail, etc) please stop what you are doing and do it right now. You can also e-mail Kevin McCullough This information is needed for many reasons, including making sure all of our classmates are contacted about the reunion. If you have any phone number/address of a classmate that you think we may not know about, please send that too. You can also e-mail me (Lisa Johnson) and I'll pass it on to the committee (I live in Indiana).

Here is a picture from our 10-year reunion. We want everyone at our 20th (is it really possible we've been out 20 years??)!! Thanks for your help!

Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed holiday with their family and friends! The first chance you get, please e-mail Trish with all contact information. Even if you think the reunion committee has it, please go ahead and send it anyways.

I thought you would enjoy seeing a picture of some of the reunion committee (a few are missing). That is Trish (Arredondo) Roberts, Kenneth Roberts, Karla (Hoyle) Brown, Kevin McCullough, and Yon Lee. Thanks to all of you for the work you are doing and will be doing!

Work in Progress

I talked to Karla (Hoyle) Brown today and she said she would like anyone who has any pictures from high school to send them to her. She is going to put together some kind of slide show for the reunion. Just let me know if you have any pictures to send and I will get you her e-mail address (she is also on Facebook now). We want a huge variety of everyone represented, so please dig around and see what you have.

Did anyone have a camcorder and recorded something at school? Let us know because that would be great to see. I know it may even seem a bit early to be talking about things like this, but with so many of us having busy lives, it would be good to have a lot of time for Karla to get pictures together.

Keep sending me any feedback you have. I appreciate all of it, negative and positive. I am still learning a lot about blogs, so this will always be a work in progress.

Feedback

I've been hearing from a lot of people through the blog, my e-mail and on Facebook and Myspace that they are excited about the upcoming reunion. Please pass on the address for the blog to anyone you know from our class. I am sure we'll be getting information on here in the new year about the reunion plans. Thanks to people like Michelle (Slate) Jones for passing on the word, considering she isn't even in our class!

Reunion talk sure has made me think of my teenage years. I asked my 11-year-old the other night if kids pass notes to each other and he gave me that look like I'm an old lady. I guess not. I guess kids e-mail and text each other. What does he want from me? I was still spinning my records and playing my tapes (and I remember Karla still had an 8-track we listened to music on!) back then. Computers? Cell phones? Crazy! I am an old lady.

I look forward to hearing from more of you, soon!

Thanksgiving Memories

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, I know my family did. I suppose everyone is gearing up for the Christmas holidays. So many of us are parents and I know it is a time to get ready to make Christmas special for our kids. Remember when all we thought about was the two weeks we would be off from school?

I wanted to share a personal memory about basketball. Thanksgiving still reminds me of practicing and playing a lot of ball this time of year. Our school hosted the "Frenship Turkey Classic" (please forgive me if I got the name of it wrong...that is what is stuck in my cloudy head) and I remember even practicing one year on Thanksgiving day. Does anyone else remember basketball this time of year?

Since I'm talking about basketball, an interesting thing to note is the movie "Hoosiers" was filmed about 20 minutes from a house we own here in Crawfordsville, IN. Do the basketball girls remember going to see that and the manager coming in and having to ask us to be quiet?

I can't stop thinking about all the fun times so long ago and I can't wait to reminisce with you personally!

Find a Frenship Friend

If you found this blog by way of search engine, maybe you don't have a Myspace or Facebook account. If you are interested in reconnecting with everyone, consider putting a page together, especially a Facebook one. Not only are there over 40 people from our class on Facebook, there are a lot of classmates from other years as well.

We would love to see at least double the amount of peole at this reunion as last. If you talk to anyone from our class, be sure to pass on the word on the blog and even Facebook!

Pictures, pictures, pictures!

We are hoping to have a great slide show at the reunion with pictures from the past. Please start digging around and see what pictures you can help us out with!

I have had a few people tell me some of their high school things are still at their parents homes. Well, with the holidays approaching, this would be a great time to pull some of them out.

It is amazing how far technology has come, even since our 10-year reunion (I mailed my pictures in and got them back after the reunion) and obviously we can do some scanning and e-mailing.

Also, I just wanted to make sure that if anyone has anything they want to see on this blog, please let me know. I do not want this to be mine, but for all of us to reconnect!

By the way, I talked to Trish and they are shooting for a reunion sometime in July. She will let me know as soon as they do.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! 2009 is approaching really fast. Unbelievable it has been 20 years since we saw so many people!

Frenship Class of 89 20-year reunion

Hello friends from Frenship! I am trying to do my part here in Indiana and help out with reunion plans. I have never done a blog so I don't know if I am the best person for the job, but here I am and please be patient with me.

I hope this will be a place we can all use to get the word out. As of right now, I do not have a specific date to give you, but I know Trish (Arredondo/Roberts) will let me know as soon as they do. I do know the reunion will be sometime this summer, 2009.

I look forward to the next few months catching up and I am so excited about the reunion!!
